My first – and certainly not the last – bourbon margarita that I’ll make and enjoy. I particularly like how the bourbon notes, specifically the oak/barrel notes, mix well with the tartness of the fresh lime juice and the orange liqueur sweetness of the Cointreau.
*1 ounce of fresh lime juice
*1 ounce of Cointreau
*2 ounces of bourbon
Shake well with ice. Serve with ice or neat. I enjoyed it neat.
