REVIEW – Siempre Plata (Blanco) [NOM 1414] Tequila

NOM 1414 – On the nose – cooked agave & cinnamon, an earthiness & minerals, citrus & a vegetal-tropical fruit note, light black pepper & mint (like a spearmint). On the palate – mirrors the aromas with light cooked agave sweetness, cinnamon, fruity-vegetal & citrus notes, spearmint, a bit of anise-like bitterness (but not unpleasant) balancing out the sweetness, & a stronger peppery kick on the finish. The minerals & earthiness are also present. Siempre Plata is a great sipper & will make great cocktails. The tequila has a great viscous body, coating the glass well, has a medium finish of a mix of pepper, anise, & sweetness, & good mouthfeel & body on the palate. Let it open up in the glass for 15-20 minutes.

-Tasted using a Riedel tequila flute glass
