Tierras Negras is in an area being used for the first time for agave ranching amidst cow pastures. Mostly flat with slight hilliness in the east, its soil is stoney with cacti and other desert plants growing in gray, clayish soil. Approximately 140,000 plants were harvested (approximately 2, 200 tons) & plants with an average of 32% brix (extremely high) sugar levels in each plant.

While bourbon folks dream of one liter/1.75 liter bottles of Eagle Rare 10 Year and Buffalo Trace, I dream of one liter bottles of Tequila Ocho.
